What an audit covers
An AI workflow audit maps your team's daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, then scores each one for automation potential. The scoring considers three factors: how often the task occurs, how long it takes each time, and how error-prone the manual process is.
Tasks that score high across all three dimensions — frequent, time-consuming, and error-prone — are your quick wins. Tasks that require nuanced judgment, creative thinking, or complex human interaction stay manual.
The audit process
Step 1: Map — List every recurring task across teams. Include the mundane ones people barely think about (copying data between systems, formatting reports, sending status updates).
Step 2: Score — Rate each task 1–5 for frequency, time per instance, and error rate. Multiply the scores. Tasks scoring above 60 are strong candidates.
Step 3: Assess feasibility — Can current AI tools handle this reliably? Is the data accessible? Are the rules clear enough to codify?
Step 4: Prioritise — Rank by impact (score × feasibility) and sequence the build plan, starting with the easiest high-impact wins.
