Conversion

Booking conversion rate

The percentage of people who complete a booking out of everyone who started or reached the booking step. It shows how well your booking flow turns interest into confirmed appointments.

How it is measured

Divide completed bookings by the number of people who reached the booking page or opened the booking widget, then multiply by 100. If 200 people opened your calendar and 40 booked, your booking conversion rate is 20%.

It is a sharper number than an overall conversion rate because it isolates one specific step. That focus makes it easy to see whether the booking experience itself is helping or hurting.

What moves the number

Friction is the enemy. Too many form fields, slow loading, confusing time zones, or a calendar that feels empty all cause people to abandon at the final step. A fast, clear flow with obvious availability tends to convert far better.

Trust also matters. Showing what happens next, confirming instantly, and reassuring people about privacy removes the last-second hesitation that kills bookings. Small wording and layout changes here often outperform big redesigns elsewhere.

Turning the metric into action

A low rate is a diagnosis, not a verdict. Watch where people drop out, test one change at a time, and let the data tell you what the friction really was rather than guessing.

We build booking flows that load fast, show live availability, and remove needless steps, then measure the rate so improvements are grounded in evidence rather than opinion.
